It was further confirmed by ex-Super Eagles media officer, Toyin Ibitoye in a post on X.com on Saturday. He wrote, “News just in. Finidi George @FinidiGeorge_FG has resigned from his @NGSuperEagles manager position.” His resignation is sequel to the Nigeria Football Federation’s (NFF) decision to appoint a foreign coach to oversee him, despite his recent appointment in May. The Managing Director of Fouani Company, which represents LG and Hisense, along with three Lebanese have been reportedly kidnapped while travelling by boat in Lagos. Millwall goalkeeper, Matija Sarkic, has died at 26. Sarkic reportedly fell ill while on international duty with Montenegro.
