The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) has warned the Federal Government to trash any plan of reversing its earlier ban on certificates obtained from universities in Togo and Republic of Benin. The students’ body made this call in a statement signed on Saturday by its National Senate Clerk, Abdul-Yekinn Odunayo, in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital. Brighton announced Saturday they had appointed 31-year-old Fabian Hurzeler as their new head coach. Fabian Hurzeler, in doing so, became the youngest full-time manager of an English Premier League club. Oyo State has recorded two suspected cases of Cholera. This was made known by the State’s Commissioner for Health, Dr Oluwaserimi Ajetunmobi during her visit to a private hospital in Ibadan where the two suspected cholera cases were receiving treatment on Saturday. She seized the opportunity to call on the residents to be more vigilant. The commissioner also tasked the residents to adopt precautionary measures to prevent the spread of a potential cholera outbreak in the state. President Bola Tinubu has directed Mr. Mamman Ahmadu to resign from office as the Director-General/Chief Executive Officer of the Bureau of Public Procurement (BPP). Headline Inflation in Nigeria has risen to 33.95 per cent in May 2024 from 33.69 per cent in April. It was disclosed by the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) in its latest Consumer Price Index and Inflation report released on Saturday. According to the report, the May 2024 headline inflation rate showed an increase of 0.26 per cent points when compared to the April 2024 headline inflation rate.
