Armed Gunmen, on Sallah Day, invaded a village in Gwadabawa Local Government Area of Sokoto State. Six people were reportedly killed and many abducted. The gunmen were said to have stormed Tudun Doki village at about 1:30 am on Sallah day. The Public Relations Officer of the Police Command in Sokoto, Ahmed Rufa’i, confirmed the attack, according to a Channels Television report. Six bodies have been recovered so far, but the police couldn’t give a definite number of abducted persons. The Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS) has released the database of inmates who fled from the Suleja Medium Security Custodial Centre. Recall, inmates numbering 118 escaped from the Suleja Medium Security Custodial Centre, Niger State on April 24, 2024.
