Nigeria, through the Central Bank have cleared $831m out of the $850m owed to International Airlines. This was made known by the International Air Transport Association (IATA) on its website. “At its peak in June 2023, Nigeria’s blocked funds amounted to $850 million, significantly affecting airline operations and finances in the country. The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced the release of 3,921 withheld results of candidates that sat for the just concluded UTME. The board further revealed that 24,535 candidates are to attempt the rescheduled 2024 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
