According to FMDQ data, the naira gained at ₦1630.35 per dollar on Tuesday from ₦1670.65 exchanged on Monday. This represents ₦40.3 appreciation. BudgIT, a civic tech organisation, has said that only two Nigerian stated can take care of their operating costs without relying on revenue from the Federation Account Allocation Committee (FAAC). Justice Joyce Abdulmalik of the Federal High Court in Abuja has ordered the Central Bank of Nigeria to halt the release of monthly financial allocations to Rivers State.
