The Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) has said global food prices rose in October to their highest level in 18 months. This was contained in its FAO Food Price Index which tracks monthly changes in international prices. According to the index, prices of food commodities reached 127.4 points last month, a two-percent increase from September. The Kwara State Government has imposed a ban on specific vehicle types from using Ahmadu Bello Way in Ilorin’s GRA district. Effective immediately, tricycles, commercial motorcycles, taxis, trucks, and heavy-duty vehicles are restricted from accessing the newly rehabilitated road. U.S. authorities arrested Franklin Ikechukwu Nwadialo, the newly elected Chairman of Ogbaru Local Government in Anambra, Nigeria, for an alleged $3.3 million romance scam.
