Dear singles, we have survived, yet alot of oppressing hurdles with those proposing in an exceptional manner like gospel singer, Moses Bliss and the love bird married couples, as in Anikulapo superstar, Kunle Remi with his longtime sweetheart who is Billionaire Otedola’s niece, Boluwatiwi.
Like Alabi Lawrence told us via his ‘X’ handle, stating, “Dear Singles, You survived, Kunle Remi and Tiwi’s weekend… You will survive Valentine’s day.” I told myself I must survive.
In order not walk through my survival tactics alone, I have some five (5) tips to share to us singles which would help us through;
1: Go On A Movie Marathon
How do you do this? If you can afford a private cinema or pity the love birds around to have their time, spin your laptop, cable TV or streaming platforms on a marathon movie/series time for that day.
2: Spa Pamper Yourself
Find your way to the spa, treat yourself on some facials, manicure and pedicure. Enjoy the maybe ticklish and soothing relief from the exercise and head home to some sweet sleep.
3: Volunteer
Either in church by ushering and or making things work that day, an orphanage outreach by being part of the less privileged joyous smile on that day or going to hospitals to donate blood (which I do). Just selflessly do something to make people smile that day.
4: Go Solo
You may be the type that has not enjoyed solitude in a long time, It may just have been the high time you went solo via an adventure to the nearest mountain, a solo drive (which is best and therapeutic for me), or go to the library and give yourself a book date by reading John Grisham and Dan Brown amongst others.
5: Go SingleT (Single’s Time Out)
This is you attending Singles Event organized for that day. Either a party up, a real hard talk about the next point of navigation, a karaoke concert etc.
I hope I have been able to parse myself to you. Stay strong folks, we must survive.
