Following the elimination of the fuel subsidy, the NLC and the Trade Union Congress had sent the Federal Government a notice of a 14-day nationwide strike on February 8.
This was in response to the Federal Government’s failure to carry out the agreements struck on October 2.
Tuesday, February 27, and Wednesday, February 28, are scheduled as the dates of a two-day nationwide protest in response to the FG’s inability to keep its word following Labour’s ultimatum.
Last Monday, organized labor started organizing its members for the countrywide demonstrations against the rising cost of living.
