Stanley Nwabali, the goalie for the Super Eagles and Chippa United, has stated he is not in a rush to join a European team.
One of the surprises from the recently concluded 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, in which the Eagles placed second, was Nwabali.
A few weeks prior to the competition starting, he was the lone player selected for the squad and given the first pick spot.
The 27-year-old continued to shine, with four straight clean sheets. He also made two stops in the victory over South Africa in the penalty shootout.
His outstanding play for the Eagles reportedly drew interest from a few European teams, Royale Union Saint-Gilloise of Belgium being one of them.
Commenting on talks about a move to Europe Nwabali told Arise News, via Soccer Laduma:“People have been sending messages like they want me to move to Europe or they want me to move to a bigger club.
