Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is set to meet with U.S. President Donald Trump to discuss the fragile Gaza ceasefire and other regional issues.
This meeting comes as indirect negotiations between Israel and Hamas on the second phase of the ceasefire agreement are ongoing. Trump has expressed uncertainty about the ceasefire’s longevity, stating there are “no guarantees” that peace will hold.
The two leaders will also discuss efforts to normalize relations between Israel and Saudi Arabia, as well as concerns about Iran’s nuclear program.
Netanyahu’s visit marks the first time a foreign leader has visited the White House since Trump’s return to office.
