The Dangote Petroleum Refinery has announced a reduction in the ex-depot (gantry) price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), also known as petrol, from ₦950 to ₦890 per litre, effective from February 1, 2025.
This price cut is a response to the positive outlook in global energy markets and the recent decline in international crude oil prices.
The refinery emphasized its commitment to transparency and fairness, stating that this reduction aims to lower the cost of petrol nationwide, which could help reduce transportation expenses, ease inflationary pressure, and lower the overall cost of living.
The Dangote Petroleum Refinery also urged petroleum marketers to ensure that consumers benefit from the price reduction.
