Arsenal set a new goal scoring record in English football following their impressive 5-1 victory over Crystal Palace on Saturday evening.
Gabriel Jesus netted twice in the first half, with Kai Havertz, Gabriel Martinelli, and Declan Rice each adding a goal to the tally.
This win marks Arsenal as the first top-flight side to score five or more goals in six different away games in a single calendar year.
Earlier this year, Mikel Arteta’s team defeated West Ham and Burnley 6-0 and 5-0 respectively in back-to-back league away fixtures. On March 4, they also triumphed over Sheffield United 5-0 at Bramall Lane.
During the 2024-25 campaign, they secured 5-1 and 5-2 wins over West Ham and Palace in the Premier League, and a 5-1 victory against Sporting CP in Lisbon in the Champions League.
