The Super Eagles have officially qualified for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations following Libya’s victory over Rwanda.
The Mediterranean Knights triumphed over the Amavubi with a score of 0-1 in a tense match held at the Amahoro Stadium in Kigali.
With this win, Libya managed to secure their first three points of the qualifying campaign, but it was Nigeria’s earlier awarded 3-0 victory over Libya that sealed their place in the tournament.
The Confederation of African Football (CAF) had awarded Nigeria the victory after the Super Eagles were stranded at the airport in Libya during their last match in October.
Nigeria leads Group D with 10 points, four points clear of second-placed Benin Republic whom they play in a matter of minutes.
