President of the PFN, Bishop Francis Wale Oke, and Deputy President, Archbishop John Daniel, made the announcement during a press briefing.
They noted that the prayers will precede the PFN’s 18th Biennial Conference, themed “The Rebirth of a Great Nation: Nigeria is Great,” scheduled from February 10 to 14, 2025, in Abuja.
The PFN is mobilizing churches, Christians, and willing Nigerians to participate in the prayers. The conference will feature prominent Nigerians addressing national issues and offering collective solutions.
Bishop Oke emphasized that Nigeria’s challenges require collective responsibility from both leaders and citizens. He drew a parallel to the Biblical story of Nineveh, expressing faith that God will answer their prayers.
Deputy President Daniel reaffirmed the PFN’s commitment to Nigeria’s peace and progress, expressing optimism about the country’s future. He believes that through prayer and fasting, Nigeria will overcome its challenges and achieve greatness.
This initiative aims to support the nation’s revival, foster cooperation, and inspire commitment to overcoming the country’s difficulties.
