Cole Palmer has been named the EA SPORTS Player of the Month for September 2024, following an outstanding run of form.
The Premier League made the announcement on Friday, recognizing Palmer’s prolific contributions for Chelsea, where he led the league in both goals and goal involvement during the month.
Palmer scored five goals and provided one assist in just four appearances, with his standout performance coming during Chelsea’s emphatic 6-1 win over Brighton & Hove Albion. In that match, Palmer made history by becoming the first player to score four goals in the first half of a Premier League game, netting all four in just 21 minutes.
His impressive September run also included an assist in Chelsea’s 1-1 draw with Crystal Palace and a goal in their 3-0 victory over West Ham United, further solidifying his case for the award.
This is the second time the 22-year-old has received the Player of the Month accolade, with his first coming in April 2024. Palmer’s consistency has been remarkable, having now claimed two of the last three Player of the Month awards.
He emerged as the winner from an eight-man shortlist after a public vote was combined with votes from a panel of football experts.
