In his national broadcast marking Nigeria’s 64th Independence anniversary, President Bola Tinubu expressed optimism that his administration is making significant progress in the fight against terrorism and banditry.
He stated that more than 300 Boko Haram and bandit commanders had been eliminated, leading to peace restoration in many northern communities.
He also acknowledged the current economic challenges but assured Nigerians that his government is working to address them through reforms aimed at stabilizing the economy and improving security.
Tinubu highlighted the resilience of the Nigerian people and reaffirmed his commitment to building a better future for the nation, focusing on reforms, free enterprise, and increased foreign direct investment.
He emphasized that mistakes of the past should not hinder progress and encouraged Nigerians to remain patient as the government’s reforms begin to yield positive results.
