Reacting to Super Eagles’ 2023 Africa Cup of Nations 2-1 defeat to Ivory Coast on Sunday, Charly Boys said Jose Peseiro’s men tried against Ivory Coast but admitted that the best team won.
Nigeria took the lead in the first half through William Troost-Ekong’s header.But Ivory Coast levelled after the break through Franck Kessie’s heading leading to a goal equalising both teams
In his reaction, Maverick singer, Charles Oputa, popularly known as Charly Boy said;
“The Super Eagles really tried but the best team won,”
“Oya, make we face the demons facing us,” Charly Boy wrote on the X platform
The game ended with the scoreboard 2:1 giving the Victory to the Host Nation Ivory Coast and Nigeria as the Runner Up.
