Nigeria’s Falconets secured their place in the FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup Round of 16 with a commanding 4-0 win over Venezuela in their final group stage match.
After an earlier 1-0 win against Korea Republic, followed by a 3-1 loss to Germany, the Falconets bounced back in style.
First-half goals from Amina Bello, Chiamaka Okwuchukwu, and Flourish Sebastine gave them control, with Joy Igbokwe sealing the win in stoppage time.
This victory propelled Nigeria to second place in their group, behind Germany, and ensured their progress to the knockout stages of the tournament in Colombia.
The Falconets now await their Round of 16 opponent.
