The Naira showed an appreciation against the dollar in the foreign exchange market, ending the week positively following nine consecutive days of depreciation.
According to FMDQ data, the Naira strengthened to N1505.30 against the dollar, compared to N1510.10 recorded on Thursday.
This signifies a gain of N4.8 for the Naira against the dollar compared to the previous day’s rate.
Similarly, on Friday, the Naira experienced a gain and was traded at N1515 against the dollar in the foreign exchange market.
This marks the first appreciation of the Naira since June 18, 2024, when it traded at N1482.72 per dollar in the official forex market.
