The Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) has released ₦3.62 billion as statutory allocation for the month of May.
The statutory allocation comprises the six Area Council, teachers and pension scheme.
₦1.14 billion from the ₦3.62 billion was allocated for six area councils while N2.49 billion was allocated to teachers and pension schemes.
This was stated by the Minister of State of FCT, Dr Mariya Mahmoud, at the 190th FCT Joint Account Allocation Committee meeting on Tuesday.
Mariya explained that out of the ₦1.14 billion set aside of the six area councils, Abuja Municipal Area Council received ₦346.53 million, Gwagwalada got ₦160.81 million while Kuje received ₦191.38 million.
For the ₦2.49 billion earmarked for teachers and pension scheme, the minister said that ₦2.12 billion was allocated to primary school teachers, while ₦36.25 million was set aside as one per cent Training Fund.
