President Bola Tinubu will, on Tuesday, June 18, 2024, depart Lagos for Pretoria, South Africa, to attend the inauguration of President Cyril Ramaphosa.
Ajuri Ngelale, Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity made it known in a statement on Monday.
President Tinubu had earlier congratulated Ramaphosa on his re-election.
In a brief statement, Ngelale confirmed that Ramaphosa’s inauguration for his second term follows his re-election.
South Africa’s parliament re-elected Cyril Ramaphosa after the African National Congress (ANC) formed a coalition with the Democratic Alliance (DA) and other opposition parties.
This new coalition follows the ANC’s loss of its long-standing dominance in the latest election.
The statement further said “President Tinubu will return to Nigeria after the ceremony.”
