The governor of Kano State, Abba Yusuf, has met with the National Security Adviser (NSA), Nuhu Ribadu, regarding the emirate dispute in the state.
The Governor made this known via a post on his X handle.
“I had a fruitful engagement with the National Security Adviser, Malam Nuhu Ribadu, this afternoon in Abuja,” he wrote.
In a statement following the meeting, the governor’s spokesperson, Sanusi Bature, said the men discussed several topics, including state and national development and the peaceful coexistence of the country.
“It was a fruitful discussion between myself and the National Security Adviser, his role is critical for the harmonious existence of our nation, so I briefed him on the recent developments in Kano,” Governor Yusuf said, and was quoted.
Previously, the NSA had been accused of being involved in the Kano crisis by allowing a significant military presence to protect the removed Emir Aminu Ado Bayero, a claim that his office quickly denied.
