Eze Onyekpere, the Lead Director of the Centre for Social Justice, has described the one year of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration as a failure.
Onyekpere revealed this on Wednesday during an interview on Channels Television, as Tinubu marks one year in office.
He mentioned that the fuel subsidy removal, naira harmonization, and other economic policies of Tinubu’s administration were poorly executed.
“It is a hectic year we wish it won’t be repeated, because it is filled with failures”, he said.
Onyekpere stated that Nigerians are experiencing economic hardship as headline inflation rose by 33.69 percent and food inflation by 40.53 percent.
He also suggested that the President should dismiss ineffective ministers if he truly cares about the country’s welfare.
In the same vein, The People’s Democratic Party labelled the past year under Tinubu as the most challenging in Nigeria’s history since the civil war.
