Prince Dapo Abiodun, the governor of Ogun State, has said that the advancement of the state and the welfare of its people are the top priorities of his administration.
To commemorate the 48th anniversary of the state’s founding, Prince Abiodun made this declaration on Saturday. In 1976, Ogun was established under the leadership of the late General Murtala Mohammed.
The governor stated that the Gateway State has grown into one of the wealthiest states in Nigeria as a result of the efforts of many governments, despite a number of obstacles.
The efforts of Prince Abiodun’s forebears, who he claimed set the groundwork for the state’s current status, were duly acknowledged.
In addition, the governor commended the state’s citizens for living in harmony with one another for the previous 48 years without experiencing any social unrest, while urging them to keep this unity for the sake of the state’s advancement.
Prince Abiodun pledged that his administration would uphold the state’s upward growth trajectory by implementing ISEYA’s “Building Our Future Together” motto.
Quoting him, the man at the affairs of the Gateway state said: “On this momentous occasion, I extend my warmest congratulations to the people of Ogun State as we celebrate the 48th anniversary of our beloved state.
“Since its creation on this day (yesterday) in 1976, Ogun State has witnessed tremendous growth and development in various sectors. We have become a thriving hub of industry, education, and culture, creating immense pride in our hearts.
“I want to express my deepest appreciation to all citizens of Ogun State for their unwavering support and dedication to our collective progress. It is through your hard work, resilience, and determination that we have achieved remarkable milestones over the years. Together, we have laid a solid foundation for an even brighter future for our great state.
“As your Governor, I stand here today to assure you of my unwavering commitment to your well-being at all times. My administration remains steadfast in its mission to create an enabling environment that empowers our people and promotes inclusive growth. We will continue to prioritize infrastructure development, education, healthcare, agriculture, and job creation.
“I am proud of the strides we have made thus far, but I am aware that there is still much work to be done. I pledge to work tirelessly to address the challenges facing our state and ensure that every citizen of Ogun State enjoys the fruits of our collective efforts.
“On this occasion, I urge us all to reflect on the values that bind us together as one united and progressive Ogun State. Let us embrace the spirit of unity, support, and collaboration between the government and the people. Together, we can overcome any obstacles and build a future filled with prosperity, opportunities, and happiness for all.
