Over the past week, Maverick singer, Ọlawale Ọlọfọrọ, popularly known as Brymo appeared on Curiosity Made Me Ask hosted by skit maker, Bae U Barbie, where he claimed that his colleague, Burna Boy is not up to his standard musically. He equally proclaimed himself as one of the best in Africa
It all started with Burna Boy’s diss freestyle where he insinuated that Brymo has “fallen off.”
Reacting to this when confronted with it in the interview, Brymo said: “Is it [the diss freestyle] not Burna Boy lyrics? But he would like to know that nothing in this world would put his name in my song. He no reach my standard,”
During the interview, Brymo called himself the “Best Vocalist” in Africa.
“I’m not proud enough. I’m probably the finest vocalist on the continent. Better than anybody. I’m not thinking. I know this,” the artist said.
“And yeah, even Twitter guys can’t disagree with him despite the hate. You can win an Award, but that doesn’t mean you’re the best man for that award.”
Brymo went further and declared that he would rather “go to hell” than be signed under the umbrella of either Wizkid, Davido or Burna Boy.
